What is Airbrush Tanning?
Whether you’re getting ready for your vacation or a wedding, airbrush tanning is the luxury beauty industry’s tanning service for an effortless, natural glow. Airbrush tanning is preferred over at-home tanning due to the streak-free, lasting results from a professional-grade tan- making it loved by Hollywood celebrities and busybodies alike!
Unlike traditional spray-tans, airbrush tanning is a personalized tanning service that uses an airbrush device to evenly distribute tanning solution. Spray tans use an automated system, providing the customer with directions on body positioning to minimize streaks. Airbrush tanning relieves the client from the stress of working the tanning booth- customizing the service to your needs from the solution used, to the placement of your tanning product. This method is the perfect solution for indoor tanners looking to avoid harmful UV rays; while traditional sun-based tans can promote aging signs like sun spots and wrinkles (with cancerous side-effects), an airbrush tan can cause your skin to appear more hydrated than before your service!

If this is your first airbrush tanning service, our trained professionals will help you choose your best match for your desired glow! The Norvell tanning line is formulated with botanicals, creating a natural, bronzed appearance. Norvell’s Venetian shades consists of an accelerated formula that requires less time until your first rinse!
Short on time? Try an accelerated tanning service and shower 1-3 hours after your tanning appointment! Already a tanning expert? Traditional tanning services require approximately 12 hours until rinse.

How to Make your Airbrush Tan Last
BEFORE YOUR TAN:
To get the most out of your airbrush tan, book your appointment for 2 days prior to your event or vacation. Be sure to book any other appointments ahead of time, including facials and massages. Schedule waxing for 3 days prior to your airbrush tan, and nail appointments the day prior. For an effortless tan, book a dermaplaning treatment with your waxing service to remove pesky facial hair and assist with the absorption of your tan- and future makeup! The morning of your appointment (or about 4 hours prior), exfoliate your skin for a smooth effect that improves consistency and ensures no streaks occur- use warm water to enlarge pores and allow the tanning solution to fully absorb.
When arriving to your tanning appointment, wear loose-fitting clothing (no bras, denim or yoga pants), and do not wear makeup; if desiring custom tan lines, bring an old or unloved swimsuit that you don’t mind staining.
AFTER YOUR AIRBRUSH TAN:
Until your rinse time, continue to wear no makeup, loose clothing and sandals, not socks! Be careful to rinse with cold water at or near the time recommended by your Kiss My Lash stylist. Do not exfoliate until you are ready to remove your tan. Avoid using warm water and oil-based soap to rinse to prolong the duration of your tan (this helps your hair stay healthy, too!). After showering, pat dry rather than rubbing off your tan. Moisturize with oil-free moisturizer daily or after contact with water to rehydrate skin and prevent your tan from rubbing off on clothes.
